Once booths are in circulation, nParallel also manages reservations and routing, and NParallel asked Digital Solutions to build a new client portal for their reservation system. We provided them with a system that simplified administration, reduced future development costs, and allowed greater flexibility and visibility for nParallel representatives as well as their clients.
Whereas the old system required time-consuming construction of a new interface for each new client, the new client portal allows nParallel to simply and automatically create new,customizable portal interfaces for each client, reducing future development cost considerably.
Since the entire system is web-based, users can access reservations and asset information from any place with a fair Internet connection. Asset locations can now be monitored online, and nParallel representatives have more flexible viewing options, including viewing asset reservation schedules for multiple customers at once.
The new system tracks asset history and usage statistics, which includes tracking the association of items. If two items are often reserved at the same time, the system learns to offer them together. Clients and representatives alike are also able to “clone” a past show, making a single reservation request that automatically incorporates all the items used in that previous show.
